The high today was like 25 degrees Fahrenheit. Last night and through the morning we got 9″ of snow. The low this evening is a negative 2, with a real feel of negative 20 with wind gusts of 40 mph. Chores today were done in full snow gear and balaclavas.
Amanda is really gung ho right now about riding, but the weather is not supportive. The two youngest members of our family did go out on a short trail walk today using their riding skirts and report that the horses were enthusiastic. Rob and I went to REI and bought snow shoes. If you can’t change it, you gotta embrace it! Pictures are from our trail cam right behind the farm.
We had 2’ on the ground, another 6-8” today, fridgid, I like spring n fall weather, try n stay warm, Jen was having some cold weather in SC too, happy New Year
